Graphic Designer

Join our team to help our products communicate in a relatable, informative way.

Ctrl Group builds products that make the experience of participating in medical research simple and transparent. When more people are included in research and richer data can be gathered, then it becomes possible to improve the way healthcare works for everyone.

We are looking for a graphic designer to join our team in London, UK. At the moment we are focused on developing a chat-based system for guiding people through the (often bewildering) experience of taking part in medical research. We are also developing new interactive ways of measuring people’s cognitive health (think short games and tasks, a little bit like brain-training, but more scientific). Lastly we are doing some really exciting and explorative work in natural language processing and voice-based UI.

As a graphic designer, you will work with our team to help our products communicate with our users and customers. We often deal with sensitive subject-matter relating to an individual’s health. Our challenge is to make these products relatable, informative and engaging.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent visual design skills for screen, including typography, information design and use of illustration
  • Has a strong interest in the role of technology to improve medical research and healthcare
  • Enjoys finding ways to communicate complex subject matter using strategies that can adapt to different media
  • Places a high value on user-feedback and can iterate the design accordingly
  • Has a good understanding of designing for the web and mobile devices
  • Has an interest in applying design skills to non-visual UIs based on voice and chat

We are especially interested in applicants who have, or are keen to develop, complementary skills in UX design, user research, software development and data science.

What we are offering:

  • As well as a competitive salary we are offering matched pension contributions and family-friendly working arrangements.
